Plenary - Mr. James Daniel


Mr. James Daniel

He is currently working with Schlumberger as a Directional Driller Manager, drilling oil wells for oil companies. Married to Esther Wong with 2 children, both of them attend Mar Thoma Syrian church in Kuala Lumpur. James is the past president of GCF and currently Advisor of GCF.

Workshop A - Emotional Quotient


Mr. Liew Tong Ngan

Mr. Liew Tong Ngan joined World Vision Malaysia in 2003 with the primary focus of raising public awareness on key social and economic issues affecting poor and marginalised communities locally and around the world. He is mandated with building sustainable partnership with individuals, corporations and churches to bring about transformation within the communities in which World Vision serves. Prior to joining World Vision Malaysia, Liew was a member of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) serving at its Missions Secretary in East Asia. As a member of OMF, he served 13 years in Japan. Tong Ngan was subsequently seconded to on the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) where he worked to promote cross-cultural understanding. His role included taking university students on mission trips. He also helped to pioneer Christian university student ministries in Mongolia and Cambodia.

A fluent speaker of Japanese, Liew had also worked with a multinational Japanese conglomerate heading its computer division in Kuala Lumpur. Tong Ngan holds two Master degrees - one in Engineering (Computer Engineering) and another in Arts  (Aspects of Christian Mission). He is married to Yoshie Ogura and they have one daughter, Ellie.

Workshop B - Nation Building


Mr. Goh Keat Peng

Mr. Goh Keat Peng has been blessed with opportunities to minister to churches, school and university students and graduates in and out of the country, poor communities in East Timor, and Malaysian politicians across the parliamentary divide. Serving with the Christian Federation of Malaysia and the Malaysian Consultative council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism, he was engaged in efforts to encourage Christian unity and also the resolution of religious conflicts through genuine dialogue and to safeguard the status of religious freedom in Malaysia. Believing that there must be a Christian voice in Malaysia, he as in the past sixteen years been engaged in creating awareness of the role of Christians as a witness of the biblical message to neighbour and nation. He is the author of A People's Politics, SIRD, 2013 and is presently completing a book on political engagement from a biblical Christian perspective. He and Grace have two sons, Chee Leong and Chee Beng, daughter-in-law, Pei Shee and two grandchildren. He truly believes that GOD is good to him!

Workshop C - Between Men & Women


Dr. Living Lee, Ph.D (Workshop co-speaker: Between Men & Women)

Dr Lee is Professor Adjunct professor of University Malaya and University Techonology Petronas specializing in palaeontology or the study of fossils. Dr Lee holds a B.Sc.(Hons) and M.Sc. in Geology from University of Malaya and a Ph.D. from University of Liverpool. He is a past president of the Graduates' Christian Fellowship and Vice Chairman of the Fellowship of Evangelical Students of Malaysia and the Chairman of NECF Research Commission. He is Chairman Elder of the Peoples Park Baptist Church, Petaling Jaya.

Mr. Cheong Seng Gee (Workshop co-speaker: Between Men & Women)

Seng Gee is the Executive Director and founding partner of Professional & Organisation Development Sdn Bhd (a Human Resource Consultancy Firm). He holds a MBA in Finance & Investment from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is currently and adviser to the Graduate Christian Fellowship (GCF) of Malaysia. He is married to Eng Bee and they have 3 grown children, Yew Weng, Yen Ling, and Yen Li.
